Co-Authors of the
YA Paranormal Series

Finding Home

About the First Book and Series:

The series is set in Tia Keating’s group home, where all of the foster kids have magical gifts. Firestarter Kayla Cruise has been kicked out of another foster home, her twelfth, and she’s back at the railroad tracks where she always finds solace. Surprisingly, a woman shows up there as an apparition, offering something Kayla had been longing for all her life, a forever home. Not just any home, Tia Keating runs a group home for teens with special gifts…gifts like the ones Kayla has spent years running from. The problem is that when something feels like it is too good to be true, it usually is. Evil is stalking Kayla and her new family.... The authors are well on their way to developing a truly bombastic and breathless adventure in Finding Fire, the sequel to Finding Home.

Meet the Co-Authors:

Liz Author Photo  Liz McMullen has had a passion for history and world religions since she was a little girl looking up at her Dad as he told her stories. She fed her addiction to politics, history, mythology, and religion while at Mount Holyoke College and during her junior year abroad at Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland. She went backpacking around Europe, visiting all the places she had been reading about. Although her title as the Traveling Where’s Waldo of the family has been retired, her wanderlust lives on in her writing. Liz is an author, mentor, publisher, and documentarian. Her debut novel, If I Die Before I Wake, is a Rainbow Award Finalist.

Shelia PowellShelia Powell was born to loving parents in the Smoky Mountains of North Carolina. She was raised with her “Aunties” who "just knew things," and was therefore able to develop and hone her psychic skills at their knees. She has helped others with her spiritual coaching for as far back as she can remember. Her readings always offer optimism and evidence that we all remain connected in spirit, even after death. The first psychic-medium ever used on The Travel Channels Ghost Adventures, Shelia is known for her special blend of homespun humor and gentle compassion. She has a large client base spanning several countries. Among her clients are people from all walks of life including physicians, lawyers, other psychic mediums, teachers, business owners, professional athletes, award winning authors, and soccer moms. Shelia also has an ever-growing celebrity base which includes stars of Baywatch and Ghosts of Girlfriends Past, as well as cast and/or crew of House, Entourage, Brothers and Sisters, CSI Miami, Melrose Place 2009, 90210, Star Trek (2009, 2010), We Are Men, Mad Men, Dallas, and Masters of Sex, to name a few. Shelia is a Certified Spiritual Coach, Intuitive, Empath, Medium, ULC Minister, and Reiki Master. Shelia has been writing her whole life but finally published her first book, Memoirs Of The Happy Lesbian Housewife, in October 2014 under the nom de plume of Lorraine Howell. It is a finalist for a Goldie Award. The stretch into paranormal books was a natural and necessary progression.
