“Writing has always been a way for me to find self expression and articulate my understanding and observations of the world around me. Poetry is a fantastic medium for conveying a deep, emotional experience or connection to something in an intuitive way where the message gives life and meaning to the words on the page.
One of the overarching themes that runs through many of my poems is our shared connection to nature and how that can be a foundation for spiritual connection as well. Another theme is that of facing adversity but triumphing over obstacles and difficulties that lay along one’s path. My poems express a deep level of observation and connection to the world around me.
They sometimes reflect what is wrong and difficult in this world and within ourselves and how we can orient ourselves so that we can still thrive despite our circumstances and in some cases, even ourselves.”
